我朋友有个老表，听说最近怪怪地，而现在正是头痛的七月份，天气不断地变热，他却用厚衣服将自己的身体裹了起来，不管周围人怎么看，而且他也不和其他人来往，成天躲在，偶尔会出来透透气，但是大热天裹棉袄的行径着实是让周围的人诧异万分，却又说不出来到底是怎么一回事。

朋友这个回家，我正好有点事情去距离他们乡里不远的县城，于是二人结伴而行，到了那边，朋友邀请我顺便去他们家里做客，我便跟他约定，等事情结束后就去乡上找他。

我很快就把事情办完了，于是去找那个朋友玩，当我走到他们乡里，突然看到一个奇怪的男子，怎么跟朋友描述的那个老表如此像。

只见眼前这个中年男子把全身裹了个紧紧的，最外面包的是一床厚厚的棉被，而他整个人裹得全然像是一个巨大的粽子，已经不成人形了，也不知道棉被里面有多少件衣服。
此时他正准备回去，我上前询问这中年男子关于我朋友的住址，他皱着眉头，望了望左边，随后他准备离去，我叫住他，问他是不是朋友的老表，他点了点头。

我说这样对身体可能不好，会中暑，他却不加理睬，继续往前走。

我出于好奇，也跟了上去，准备拉住他，哪知他身上的被子竟然破了，一根尖尖的刺一样的东西从里面伸了出来，我吓了一跳，拉住朋友的老表，询问到底怎么一回事，他一脸的痛苦，拼命挣脱我，准备逃掉，但是他跑了几步，却摔倒在地，只见他腿部竟然长出了两根尖尖的刺，他似乎很痛苦，挣扎着想要起身，却又感到十分困难，我赶紧上前去扶住他。

朋友的老表气得大骂，叫我赶紧滚开，别离他太近，我不知道该怎么办，正在此时，朋友出现，他赶紧上前，询问状况，我大致说了一下，他也惊呼起来，询问老表，干嘛不去看看，如果一直这样下去，弄不好要出人命的。

他的老表哪里管得那么多，他叫朋友赶紧离开，朋友不管，而其老表的背上再次长出两根尖刺，我这一次也看清楚了，像是骨头一般，这多半就是骨刺。

朋友的老表由于剧痛，不由得惨叫着，不多时，他的家人也来了，个个都焦急万分，却又没办法，有人报了警，周围的村民也围了不少，众人议论纷纷。

朋友想要上前去帮忙，但是根本没用，他一碰到老表的身体，那里很快就有尖尖的骨刺长出来，将他手脚纷纷刺破，血流不止，而且这骨刺里面如同是有辣椒一般，使得被刺中的伤口更是剧痛不已，朋友不得不往后退了几步，我赶紧将他拉住，不过也奇怪，他退开了之后伤口也就不再流血了，一靠近老表的时候那鲜血就如同喷泉一般不断地往外冒。

不多时，朋友的老表身上穿着的衣服全部都被这些骨刺刺破，众人看到眼前的情形，不由得吓得魂飞魄散，只见他这老表浑身上下除了脸部还有肉之外，其余地方全部都已经变成了骨头，那些肌肉血管等等全部都钙化了，而且这些钙化组织似乎有生命一般，还在不断地往外生长，那些骨刺越来越长，他浑身被这种尖刺一样的东西覆盖着，活像是一只刺猬。

那些骨刺长到了一定的程度，就不再往上冒了，随即而来就是开始风化，慢慢地碎裂开去，不多时，他全身的骨头全部都碎裂，变成粉末状，风一吹来，立即散开，最后，他只剩下一个脑袋，张着口，双眼圆瞪，已经死去，从那神情来看，显然是死不瞑目。

等警察来的时候，朋友的老表剩下的那个脑袋慢慢地脱水，只剩下一层皮包在上面，活像是干尸一般，这个脑袋被警察带走了，他死去的地方也被单独圈了起来，需要单独调查，我们所有人都茫然，就跟做梦一般。

我想起以前听朋友说过有一种珊瑚人，那就是皮肤里面不断地渗透出钙质，慢慢地长成一些奇形怪状的模样，而且需要很长时间，可是朋友的老表全身长满那种规则的尖刺，就如同是骨头上面再次长出新的骨头，其生长速度也很快，似乎跟暴晒有关，但是他的身体哪里来那么多的钙？
