田头鬼

过去，山居村地处山区，村里没几户人家，所种的庄稼遭受野生动物践踏，思想落后的村民都认为是妖鬼作怪，五月初五是端五节，这里的村民叫也鬼五节，村里的人为保五谷丰登，习惯烧田头纸、敬田头神，贡品是：熟鸡一只、酒一瓶、粽子几个，还有香纸等，每年都是男人（老公）去办，每次回来时老婆发现鸡吃了不少，酒也喝了一半，粽子也吃了几个。

老婆：“怎么这些东西少了，哪去了？”

老公：“都给神吃了呀，幸好我手脚快，抢回来一点，不然的话全给神抢光了。
”

老婆：“我不信，这世上真有神，是不是你偷吃了？”

老公：“没有神你去拜它干吗？不信？要不今天你去拜，看有没有？”

老婆：“去就去，大白天的我真不信它敢出来，有夜间怕鬼的，没听说白天怕鬼的，谁怕谁”。

下午，烈日当空，老公备好贡品，教她如何、如何做法，老公就上山砍柴，她下田去祭神了，俩人同时出了门，一个上山，一个下田，走的是相反方向。

她到了田中间，见青绿的禾苗长得喜人，肥壮的芋苗有平胸那么高。
她就在田头放一簸箕，摆上贡品，烧上香，开始念道：“田头鬼、田头神，食我鸡，保我禾，喝我酒，保我芋，保佑我五谷丰登，年年都有好收成，请快快出来食啰”。

老公：“我的话你不信，怎能怪我，我到田头看看，是不是真的，吃完了没有？”

一会儿，老公把贡品拿回来，只见那只鸡被吃了肉，剩下鸡骨头了，粽子没了，酒也喝完了。
老婆一看真信了；她被吓之后，发冷、发热（发高烧）病了，像中了邪一样，迷迷糊糊的，什么药都用了，一连几天还不见好转，老公知道她是被吓成病的，就请了巫婆为她驱邪，巫婆念了不少鬼话、做了不少鬼动作，又为她做了护身符，还是没法治好。

老公没办法，来个脑筋急转弯，骗她说：“我上山后，我偷偷地从另一个方向回到田间，趁你摆上贡品时，我脱光衣服埋藏芋地里，滚上一身稀泥，扮起神来吓你的，你被吓走后，我就吃鸡、饮酒，然后才上山砍柴”。

后来有人说，她老公根本就没有回来过田头，真的上山砍柴了，这田里真的有鬼，每年都如此，也见过这泥鬼；还有人说他老公说的是真的，是他扮演的泥鬼。
